About the Museum & Historical Society
MAY 2024
Due to the sad loss of the Historical Society's secretary Eifion Lloyd Davies and the resignation of the Museum's secretary Viv Williams along with Alan Williams the curator and director Sandra Plaister, it has been agreed to merge the two Societies. The people mentioned above have for many years worked tirelessly to get the Societies to where they are now and will be sorely missed. Many thanks go out to them for their massive contribution.A committee has been agreed to take the merger further and decide how the new Society will operate. Vice Presidents, Patrons and Members will be kept informed of progress.
Meetings were held by both groups, and it was agreed to call the amalgamated group : -
“The Brynmawr Museum and Historical Society”.
